MMF AGM 2009 underwent with renewed enthusiasm from new members and an elaborate overview of administrative activities and a extensive plan for 2010.
MMF Diwali Dhamaka 2009!.. when new members outnumbered the existing members for the first time, when the Pot-Luck contributions of Diwali Faral turned out to be a complete Feast, when the gathering reached a cultural high with Gayatri Kotbagi performing Kathak, when music knew no bounds when Pt. Shivkumar sang some of the choicest melodies, when MMF family grew bigger, richer and here i mean richer by the talent of it’s new members

Thanks to Asha & Chandrashekhar Rajguru, we had occasion to celebrate our Second Anniversary at their country house at Pasly, 100 km from Paris situated in superb natural surrounding. 15 members attended.

Thanks to Rohit Sathe, we had an excellent outing at Chantilly. After a picnic in the park, we had a guided visit to the famous historical chateau, originally built during “Moyen Age” and transformed during 17th Century by Duc d’Enghien (le Grand Condé). 12 members attended.

Famous French historian Mr Jean-Marie de Beaucorps shared his experience with Marathi soldiers during WWII and talked about his book Shivaji. 18 members attended. After presentation, Mr de Beaucorps has a lively discussion with our members.

Visit to Guimet Museum of Asian Arts, Paris with guided conference about art & antiques of Indian Art. 25 members attended, seems to be our biggest turnout for monthly gatherings since Shri Dilip Prabhavalkar’s Show in September 2007.

Get together for Makar Sankrat at ASSOFAC, 75010 Paris. 20 members attended, many coming for the first time. Very interesting suggestions for future activities were discussed.
